a day at the beach
The sun was bright, and the wind was blowing but those are two things you don't complain about when your at the beach. I did have a few drinks , and visited with my family from houston who had rented condos in port aransas for the weekend. I don't see them on a regular basis so it is always nice to catch up with them. The guys were attempting to fish but all they seemed to be doing was fighting the sea weed which was coming ashore in large amounts. You needed to go a good distance waist deep or further to get past all the sea weed. The sand was pretty, clean, warm, I sure did have my toes in the sand. Even though i got a little burnt, I had a good time, and would like to spend another day at the beach before the summer ends.

Teaching Methods
Which approach is better for the students?
Whose expert enough to say one is superior to the other?
Do you have to be one or the other, or can you be both?
When is it appropriate to use the structured traditionalist approach?
How beneficial is engaging in active learning?
How does your teaching differ from one year to the next?

Beach
A wonderful place to let your worries disappear and enjoy the scenery. Everyone needs a chance to let loose every once in a while. The man lying in the sand for example, might have had an awesome night with the exception of a little too much to drink. I hope when he wakes up he doesn't have a sun burn on only half of his face, especially if he has to attend a family gathering. I like how the waves hit the rocks and splash into the air.
There is a big shark in the water that is unseen to the eye but he is lurking. He's watching from a distance these tasty treats that are moving about, with the exception of the one flopping around in the sand, hoping that the one in the sand will inch his way into the water so his mouth can quit watering and he can have some lunch. He swims around in circles anticipated that his next meal is near, but with no further movement from the human closest to the water, gives up and gives away to find some sea creatures to hound.

Summer
I love summer time, the pretty gardens and flowers people put around their yard, swimming on a hot day. When I was younger I thought of summer as relaxation, vacations, fun, and no worries in the world. As you get older you realize the world does not stand still because its summer, bills still need to get paid, people still have to work, and you have to fit those fun things into your busy schedule. I don't know what season I like best, because I also enjoy winter time. Drinking hot chocolate, snuggling up under a blanket, watching a movie.

Brick
Build a privacy wall
Build a fence around flower bed
Decorate the brick
Use it as a hammer
She who could throw it the farthest
Break pieces and make a wind chime from them

Identity
As a writer I have sense of humor, like to use descriptive details, so when reading work can visualize the words. I sometimes get great ideas but dont know how to word them. I know feel that by freewriting just getting them down, i could pull something great from the writing. People have so much to say and writing is a great way to express what you feel, ideas, questions. The process may be different for everyone, but all will grow with experience, and i think writing is awesome when it is meaningful to the writer. If you dont care about what your writing how is someone else supposed to care.

Group Work
I like how we split up our chapter so that each of us could focus on a couple pages, after talking I think they were all tied together. We worked well as a group everything kept in contact over the weekend through email or phone. The group work it can sometimes be hard to meet and find time to meet. Everyone lives in different places and has different things going on in their life outside of school. I also like group work because sometimes two heads are better than one, in this case four heads.
